81-Year-Old Polish Lady Loves Driving A 300HP Subaru WRX STI

An 81-year-old Polish lady absolutely adores ripping up the roads in her 2016 Subaru WRX STI. 

The demographic for a Subaru WRX STI is commonly accepted to be a male between 30-40 with second-hand models going to the younger crowd. But according to Onet.TV on their report earlier last week, an 81-year old lady named Michalina Borowczyk-Jędrzejek defies this demographic and enjoys driving her 2016 Subaru WRX STI pretty much daily.

It’s not only rare to see a WRX STI on Polish roads but to see an elderly lady in a fur coat behind the wheel is something else. Check out some of the pictures hitting social media below featuring this awesome lady. Look at those driving gloves!

According to the feature, Michalina has always been a fan of fast cars and since she’s retired, she’s had all the time in the world to drive around in whatever she pleases. Translation from Polish to English turned out a bit rough but according to Michalina,

"It suits me (fast cars) because I have a couch at home. This car game has a soul, a heart, and the other cars have me hooked."

According to another article, it looks like Michalina cut her teeth on Opels, BMWs, Mazdas, and Hondas. But it was  Subarus that have been her go-to car of choice to scratch that enthusiast itch. After all, this will be her third Subaru in thirteen years.

"I love the sound of its engine. Boxer purrs, it is a pleasure."

Michalina does admit that maintenance on these fine machines doesn’t come cheap. Thankfully, a bit of money savvy savings from her investments in inherited apartment buildings keeps this hobby more than affordable. Although she lives in Katowice, Michalina often drives to other cities including Czestochowa, Krakow and Wroclaw. All in all, she puts in about 6,000-9,000 miles of driving a year. Not bad at all.
