Why aren’t we surprised to hear that two units of the Ferrari FXX K are for sale in Dubai? Where else can we expect exotics like these being disposed off so soon?

The LaFerrari is the crown jewel in Ferrari’s production car lineup and the Ferrari FXX K is meant for those affluent (and borderline insane) car enthusiasts who want something more than what the standard LaFerrari can provide. Only 40 of these track-only hypercars were made and two of them have now been put up for sale by Dubai-based dealer, Knight International.

The first car has a price tag of $4.2 million and has been driven for a total of 1.5 hours. The second car has never been driven at all and will set the prospective buyer back by $4.7 million. The dealer is extremely cautious about the sale that they haven’t even shared the real images and VIN numbers of both the Ferrari FXX K units. However, they have mentioned that those who are serious about the purchase will be provided with all the details once the pre-deal agreement is signed.

Both cars are in Ferrari’s facility in Maranello, Italy right now with the exotic carmaker’s engineers maintaining the machines in immaculate condition. Knight International will facilitate inspection of the cars for serious buyers. The dealer has also added that the buyer will be fast-tracked to Ferrari VIP status and will be eligible to participate in the exclusive Ferrari’s Corse Clienti race series.

The best and perhaps the most surprising part about the whole sales pitch is that Knight International has claimed that they can convert both cars for street use. If they pull that off, then these could be the first street-legal Ferrari FXX K hypercars in the world.

The Ferrari FXX K, which is the successor to the FXX and the 599XX has a hybrid powertrain which draws power from a 6.2-liter V12 engine and an electric motor. The cumulative power output is 1,036 hp and the total torque churned out is 900 Nm. The FXX K also comes loaded with tech that’s borrowed from Ferrari’s track racing-focused machines.

The FXX K is also a part of the carmaker’s Client Test Driver Program by which Ferrari collects data based on the driving sessions held for owners at various test tracks. The information gathered is then used in improving Ferrari’s range of track and road cars.
