Was The Fate of the Furious the best Fast & Furious movie ever made? Not really. But it certainly had moments which struck the right chord with the audience. Here are our 10 favorite scenes from the movie.

The Fate of the Furious has started its box office run with a global opening weekend collection of $531 million. That beat none other than box office juggernaut Star Wars: The Force Awaken to clinch the record for the highest global opening weekend. Its international box office takings of $433 million is miles and miles ahead of previous record holder Jurassic World’s $316 million too.

In short, the $250 million production-budgeted 8th instalment is a massive success for Universal Pictures. Even if one factors in the astronomical marketing budget, The Fate of the Furious will be raking in close to $1 billion, if not more to turn in a neat profit for the studio.

Though it isn’t the best-received instalment in the 16-year old franchise, F. Gary Gray’s shot at leaving his stamp on the Fast & Furious franchise offers the high-octane, explosive, insane action that ardent fans are accustomed to. Gray has also succeeded in wrapping it all up with loads of humor, engaging character dynamics and has also driven home the franchise’s underlying theme of family.
