Magnus Walker crashed one of his iconic Porsches earlier today supposedly while drifting to avoid hitting another car in the opposite lane.

Update Aug. 27, 2015- Jalopnik caught wind that a video with the reporter driving shotgun finally hit the web. Check out that video below.

If you’re Magnus Walker and spend most of your time driving classic Porsche’s, you’re bound to get into an accident if you’re not obeying the law. According to some reports off VW Vortex earlier today ( Aug. 24, 2015) Magnus Walker was taking his 1971 Porsche out for a bit of drift action in sunny Minneapolis on two way road in front of a Porsche dealership when he tried his best to avoid crashing into classic Mercedes Benz, but instead slid into a truck trailer parked in his driving lane. From all accounts, it looks like he didn’t even know the truck was in his lane and did his best to scrub speed to no avail. According to some early photos floating around the web, it looks like his driver’s door sustained some major damage but thanks to an installed roll cage, Walker escaped the entire ordeal nary a scratch. Although there might’ve been a few ruffled dreads here and there.

This is the exact same Porsche that Need For Speed profiled in their next upcoming release, Most Wanted and has been featured numerous times on social media and YouTube (most notable with Jay Leno in his Jay Leno’s Garage series.  Check out that video below.

Shortly after the accident, Magnus Walker took to Instagram and posted somewhat of a cryptic update on his ordeal. Walker did manage to get behind the wheel of a modern Porsche 911 GT3RS, so all was right with the world. He did mention that he and his #277 Porsche were A OK. And if there’s anything we know about Magnus Walker, it’s that he’ll repair his Porsche with his own two hands and be back on the road in no time. All the best to you Magnus.
