Breaking: This Is The 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM Race Car

Long before the 2015 DTM season is done, Mercedes-AMG went ahead and revealed their 2016 race car
In DTM racing there are three main manufacturers fighting it out right now, Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. Long before the 2015 season is over Mercedes went ahead and released to the world their 2016 Mercedes- AMG C63 DTM Racecar earlier today (Sept. 4, 2015) and we can’t wait to see it on a racetrack soon. Check out some of the exclusive photos that they’ve graciously provided us below.
Compared to 2015’s car, you’d really have to be an aerodynamics expert to appreciate the nuances done to 2016’s car. From what we can tell, they’ve outfitted the front over-fenders with cooling ducts. Obviously the front grill and headlights pay homage to the production C63. AMG has said they’ve done all they can to devlop the car as much as possible but as it’s DTM, developmental areas are severely limited so no surprise the car looks almost essnttially the same.
"Due to the regulations, the development areas are severely limited: a large number of components are therefore assumed by the proven predecessor vehicle. Of course it is in the DTM always to optimize the overall package continuously and thus passes through the vehicle through its entire lifecycle across corresponding development processes and cycles."

Testing for this car will commence during winter testing in preparation for the 2016 DTM Season. Until then, the boys at AMG have three more rounds until the 2015 season wraps up. So far Mercedes is trailing Audi by 28 points in the Manufacturers points race with Mercedes AMG Team HWA in first place overall above the rest of the teams.
