Team members from The Anaheim Ducks also came by on Thursday of the auction to take in the action. Ducks’ captain Ryan Getzlaf spent time on the microphone announcing upcoming lots and also presented Dana and Frank Mecum with official team jerseys with “Dealmakers” embroidered on the backs as a way of welcoming Mecum back to the SoCal city of Anaheim.

Some of our favorite cars run through the auction. It’s nice to see them running the engine and come out of the garage, even if it’s for a sale. It would be even better to see these gorgeous cars on a proper, unwinding road at full chat.

After all, that’s what they were built for; not just to be heard, but to be seen as well.

It was just down the street from Disneyland.l
