Microsoft And Mazda Team Up For Forza Horizon 2 Photo Contest
By Paulo Acoba
Mazda and Microsoft announced earlier today that they are teaming up to offer participants the chance to win big prizes all from the seat of your coach. It’s a photo sharing contest and it involves you taking their Mazda Miata’s (which can be already found in the game or downloaded), driving it anywhere on Forza Horizon 2 and snapping a shot.
If you’re an Xbox one or Xbox 360 player and already have Forza Horizon 2, you’re in luck.
- Xbox one users have to download the 2016 Mazda Miata MX-5 through the DLC pack, take a photo then post it to their storefronts. Grand prize is a home theater system and a $200 gift card.
- Xbox 360 users have to use the already available 1994 Mazda Miata and do pretty much the same thing.
- Four runner-up winners who will get a $100 Xbox gift card as well as a 12-month subscription to Xbox Live Gold.
- Voting is handled online through Xbox live. Grand prize is an Xbox one and a $200 gift card.
You’re already going to be taking photos of your car online anyways, so you might as well try to win a few prizes while you’re at it.
Mazda has been working hard, getting millennials involved in the car buying process well before they actually can purchase one.
Back in December, Mazda peaked our interest by hosting a livery contest for their 1994 Mazda Miata. More than anything, this got the potential owners with a creative mind involved.
If you are and up and coming designer with some real talent, what better way to get noticed then to have Mazda’s director of design Derek Jenkins check out your design, because that’s what the two semi -finalists got do.
Finally, just this March, well before the official reveal of the 2016 Mazda Miata, Xbox one users who had Forza Horizon 2 got to download the car and check it out all at the same time. It doesn’t matter if you were a hardcore journalist or just a kid who bought the game with his allowance, you got to take the new Miata for a spin.
If you’re between the ages of 18-24 and haven’t heard about the new 2016 Mazda Miata by now, you will soon.
