Don’t be mistaking this for an a real 2016 Chevrolet Corvette because really the only parts it shares with a stock corvette are the body panels and front/rear lights. Other than that, this drag Corvette has been heavily modified to according to the owner,

"Win races, set records, hurt feelings"

According to Auto Evolution, “We are not aware of the Chevrolet’s full specs since what you see here are the first runs of the car. Nevertheless, the supercharged rumor mill points to a 3,500 HP output. A screw-type blower is the one responsible for that.”

According to the race class the owner races in, the only rule that matters is “The 10.5-inch rear slicks, whose tread width actually measures 11.25 inches is chief among the rules.” In addition, the front suspension must be stock as well as the mufflers and firewall. Weight limit is set at 3,000 lbs.

Hats off to the owner for pulling off one of the best looking drag cars around. Not only does it look like, from ten feet away, a stock C7 corvette, it still retains those iconic day time running lights and rear LED tails. And it has all that power to back up those good looks.
