Will The 2015 Ram Rebel Be Priced at $45,000?

Right now, there is a media embargo on the specific details about the 2015 Ram Rebel. A couple of auto journalists have already been wined and dined somewhere in the Bay Area (California) and specifics have been discussed, but no one can say a word. But that doesn’t mean the rumor mill hasn’t been churning. There’s been a $45,000 price tag floating around courtesy of RamRebelForum where one poster has supplied a spec sheet with a truck surprisingly spec’d close to the 2015 Ram Rebel with a starting MSRP of $44,720.

The SVT Raptor and TRD Tacoma are all priced just around that MSRP so this is somewhat believable.

So what do we know about the 2015 Ram Rebel?

For one, this truck isn’t meant to compete with the 2015 Ford F-150 Ford Raptor. The Ram Rebel was never given the necessary equipment to compete with the Raptor on the same level.

That’s not to say the 2015 Ram Rebel isn’t somewhat capable. The Rebel package includes seventeen-inch cast aluminum wheels with generous 33 inch Toyo Tires shod around each wheel.

Just like the spec sheet says, you can option out the Rebel with Dodge’s optional air suspension.

There’s only one crew cab configuration available with a five-foot-seven-inch bed.

Engine choices are just two. You can get the standard 305 HP Pentastar V6 or the 395 HP 5.7 liter V8 Hemi.

In addition, you can choose between 2WD and 4WD models.

Early looks at the interior reveal small differences when compared to the regular Ram 1500. Some interior pieces have been color matched with the exterior and there are heavy duty floor mats available to catch all your dirt and mud you’ll trek in.

If you pay close attention to the seats, you’ll notice that the tread pattern of the Toyo’s match the seats back pattern.

I’m going to say it now. Dodge created a future classic with the Ram Rebel. Since these trucks probably won’t see the deserts of Moab or the Sand dunes of Southern California, they’ll probably be babied around town. This is a $45,00

This is a $45,00 man-cessory and it will be a highly desirable one at that.
