Just two weeks after splitting up with long time wife Jennifer Garner, it seems like Ben Affleck got his priorities in order and got himself a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. People magazine spotted the 42-year-old newly minted bachelor earlier yesterday (July 17, 2015) roaming the streets of L.A. enjoying the sunny weather and more than 707-HP at his disposal. Some media outlets are calling this purchase a mid-life crisis, but we at Art of Gears beg to differ. There is no time like the present to indulge in a bit of American muscle. Besides, at a MSRP of only $58,295, the Challenger SRT Hellcat is down right economical when it comes to buying a new car. Now Floyd Mayweather and his possible $3.8 million Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita purchase that might go down? That’s a mid-life crisis.

In true Hollywood class, Ben ordered himself a Challenger SRT Hellcat in Phantom Black (or is it Pitch Black?) Either way, it’s very understated. With a simple white T-shirt and sporting the one-week no-shave look, Ben was looking downright haggard. The same can’t be said about the Challenger SRT Hellcat. This latest move screams to the world that he’s moved on with his life and although they haven’t fully worked out the details of their divorce, at least he’ll still have this to come home to.
