The 2016 Bentley Bentayga Is 600 HP Of Brawn And Beauty

The long awaited 2017 Bentley Bentayga has been finally unveiled.
If there ever was a vehicle that combined luxury, power and off-road prowess into one, as of this moment no one does it better then the Bentley Bentayga. Earlier today (Sept. 8, 2015) Bentley officially took the wraps off its SUV offering to the world with a bevy of pictures as well as a trove of specs for us to ponder. Bentley was sure to hit on a few key points. Above all, they want to set this SUV on a pedastal as a performance SUV dropping a 187 MPH blast before the official launch. Filled with tech, design cues befitting to Bentley and plenty of customization options, the 2016 Bentley Bentayga is the first real salvo into the war brewing that is ultra-luxury performance SUV.
Tech, this SUV is full of it. Off-roading of any sort is made easy thanks to eight different off-road modes that can be accessed with a twist of a dial. Adaptive cruise control means the driver can simply set the Bentayga on its course and place parameteres on how far it should follow the lead car. There’s a pleathora of drivers aids meant to monitor street signs, pedestrian traffic and blind spots. In addition, the Bentayga can park itself given enough space.
The design language is quintessential Bentley. Up front, four round LED headlights and gaping maws for grilles feed giant air intakes as well as give prominence to anyone staring at it through their rear view. The side profile shouts bold and athletic with tires poking out beneath modest wheel arches. Out back, the rear glass is raked forward we imagine to shrink the size of this SUV. Dual exhausts are on either side.
The engine, it’s a torque monster. The turbocharged W12 puts out a whopping 600 HP and 663 lb-ft of trunk pulling torque. 0-60 MPH comes and goes in 4.0 seconds and of course we know there’s a top speed of 187 MPH.

Inside, it’s all handcrafted wood, metal and leather trim. The front seats are adjustable up to 22 ways and are ventilated, heated and massaging. The passenger seats are also 15 way adjustable if you opt for seating for four instead of five. And customization is limitless with more than 15 shades of leather, seven wood veneers and wheel options from 20-22 inches.
Bentley does plan to launch a seven seater in the future as well as a faster speed model and a more efficient diesel and hybrid. Say hello to the new darling of Hollywood.
