#9- Add these Apps to your smart phone now

If you’re reading this online, most likely you have an iPhone or Android device. Guess what! There are a ton of free apps out there that will get you out of having to sit hours on end in a traffic jam and can route you to the cheapest gas stations.

  1. Waze– Yup, that quirky little app that helps you to avoid cops also can potentially help you to save gas. Compared to regular gas apps, Waze will save you both time AND money by harnessing the power of the community to avoid traffic jams altogether (which are super inefficient btw.) When you DO need to find gas, Waze will point you to the cheapest pump in your location. The cherry on top is the fact that if there are any available gas coupons to use, Waze will let you know.
  2. AAA Trip Tik– You don’t have to be a AAA Member to use Trip Tik. With Trip Tik you have the ability to not only map travel distance, but find the nearest gas stations, hotels, restaurants and other local side stops. Unlike other gas apps, you can save your location and use your gps location as a starting point.
  3.  Streetview– This one’s a bit of stretch, but before setting out on an unplanned destination, use look at all the major exits and final destination street views to get an idea where you are without actually driving there. You’ll be confident in knowing where you’re going and can further concentrate on driving smoothly which won’t get you lost and potentially cost you at the pump.
