You’re looking at the cheapest electric vehicle currently on the market. Priced at just a hair below $23,000, monthly payments are well within the $300 range a month if you specify a 60 month loan plus a sizeable down payment. But don’t equate cheap for not being very good as the i-MiEV is one of the best electrical vehicles out there. Sure the range is quite small, but that’s to be expected from the size of the battery they stuffed in the chassis.
Its exterior definitely says alternative energy vehicle. Its front fascia is definitely friendly looking with headlights for eyes and a coy grin for a grill ( you can even say those foglights are dimples. Inside, it’s a bit bare bones but there’s Mitsubishi quality all around with pieces from parts bins from all over Mitsubishis model lineup. Yes, there’s seating for four (unlike the Smart fortwo electric drive) although the rear seats are quite a bit thin and leg space at a premium. Fun fact, the Mitsubishi i-MiEV was the first mass produced electric vehicle of the modern era, beating the Nissan Leaf. But since then, technology and performance all have their bars raised and the i-MiEV has some catching up to do.
