Back To The Future Trilogy: Top 30 Vehicles
By Paulo Acoba
2015 not only marks the 30th anniversary of the release of Back to the Future but also marks the year when Marty McFly and Doctor Emmet Brown would travel 30 years into the future and would arrive in a futuristic world filled with transportation that doesn’t require any roads and skateboards that can float over both regular ground and water.
Vehicles played an important part in the success of the Back to the Future film franchise. Even in the original theatrical release poster, Marty McFly stands next to his iconic DeLorean DC-12 with no Doc Brown in sight. Back to the Future II featured some of the most futuristic vehicles portrayed on screen and certainly posed a challenge to Universal Studios to come up with a vision for the future that we now know as present day.
And while our cars of today can’t be technically powered by garbage, they can be charged up with electricity from renewable energies. Thanks to Lexus, Universal Studios did get the floating hoverboards right (superconductors and magnets are to thank for that one.)
Art of Gears counts down the Top 30 vehicles to grace the Back to the Future screen in all three films. We have a feeling that you don’t need to click through to see whose number one but check out who made the list anyways.
