Honesty, Decency and Integrity where the three words that emblazoned the posters on Goldie Wilson’s official campaign ads. By 1985, Goldie Wilson has been Mayor of Hill Valley for the better part of eight years and was running for re-election.  And the campaign vehicle of his choice was none other than a plain white 1984 Ford Econoline Full Size Van. On top of the roof was a P.A. system that would make any future mayor proud and if you didn’t know who was running, there were 10 campaign posters plastered around the entire van with a campaign poster that read “Re-Elect Goldie Wilson” on either side.

The vehicle itself, the Ford Econoline, was a favorite movie prop used by Hollywood throughout its 54 years of service under the Ford Motor Company. These vans came from the factory with a stock 300 cubic inch inline 6 engine which put out the better part of 145 HP. Known for its durability, low and torque, and ease of service, the Ford Econoline still remains a popular choice for small businesses and entrepreneurs across America today.

Fun Fact: The famous Mutts Cutts van from Dumb and Dumber was also a 1984 Ford Econoline.
