Top 40 James Bond Vehicles Of All Time

#37- 1983 Ford LTD
Appeared in: A View To A Kill
The mid-80’s saw Bond stuck in some of the lesser popular Bond vehicles and the 1983 Ford LTD was definitely one of them. You can catch a glimpse of this Fox-body platformed car as James Bond exits the city (San Francisco) and follows one Stacy Sutton as she makes her way home to her private mansion. If low-key is what Bond was going for, then the 1983 Ford LTD certainly did the job as driving along the freeway posed no foreseeable danger to this secret agent.
The one redeeming quality, as previously mentioned, was that it was built on a Fox Body platform. Although it wasn’t a Mustang by any stretch of the imagination, it certainly had all the DNA to utilize the various aftermarket performance options out there (mainly suspension upgrades.)
For a brief moment in 1984, Ford made roughly 800 repurposed LTD LX’s for use by the highway patrol. These LTD’s came with high output 5.0 V8’s with four-speed automatics. Packing 165 HP it certainly wasn’t what V8’s are today but back in 1984 that was a big deal. Bond probably had a more common 2.3-liter Lima engine in his LTD.
