#6- A Good ol’ Gasoline gift card and a fill-up.

This one goes without saying and although the gift idea itself sounds crude in nature, to us gearheads it really isn’t. As a matter of fact, a gift card for gas might be the best gift out of this lifs for numerous reasons.

For one, if your gift recipient is that typical college student aged adolescent transitioning to adulthood, this gas gift card will be an absolute godsend.

And as of this writing, with a plentiful supply of fossil fuels as markets compete against each other, gas has never been cheaper. So whatever amount of gift card you can give will go a long way.

Additionally, a gas gift card can be used to purchase snacks and drinks so if you’re recipient drives a lot, they can use this card to refresh themselves with some coffee or that infamous gas station hot dog if they get hungry.

Keep in mind some gear heads are picky with what kind of gas they use so if you have an inkling that this person is particular about a certain kind of brand, go ahead and ask their closest friends and family to confirm.

And if you’re really in a pinch for a quick gift, just pay for a full tank the next time you ride shotgun. That works too.
