Top 10 Most Expensive Trucks Money Can Buy
By Paulo Acoba
#10- Toyota Tacoma $44,994
The mid-sized competitor to the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon is the stalwart and steadfast Toyota Tacoma. Priced a bit higher than the American mid-sized trucks at $23,300, it’s not as expensive as a full-size, but add enough options and you’re well within F-150 territory.
Standard on the Tacoma is Toyota’s 2.7L inline-4 good for 159 HP and 180-lb-ft but optional and available on higher trims is their tried and true 3.5L V6 with 278HP and 265 lb-ft paired to a six-speed automatic and optional 4WD (which we’ll choose of course.)
Like the Tundra, we opt for the Limited Tacoma at $34,745. Add on the optional 4WD and the price jumps to $39,370. We tack on the Hard tri-fold tonneau cover for $1,300.
There are an available $5,624 in available options so for this exercise we tick all the boxes of course. Final price comes out to $44,994 which includes the $900 processing fee. Add on another $1,206 and you can technically buy two barebones Tacomas.
