The exact brother to the Silverado 1500 is the Sierra 1500 Pickup. With a starting MSRP of $27,715, it’s not that much more expensive than the Silverado.

First we select the SLT Trim which jumps the price to $48,765. Standard is the 5.3L V8 but the 6.2L V8 is optional. You get a leather interior, leather steering wheel, a bigger touch screen and chrome everything.

For options, we opted for the

  • $5,040- SLT Crew Cab Premium plus Package  which includes things like 20″ Chrome wheels, front and rear park assist and a Bose Premium Audio System.
  • $350- Off-Road suspension Package- High-Pressure Gas Shocks, Hill Decent Control, Front stabilizer bar, Under Body Transfer Case Shield, High Capacity Air Cleaner, Z71 Chrome Side emblems, Hill Descent control.
  • $2,495- 6.2L Ecotec V8 (Like the Silverado HD 1500, this engines adds 65 HP and 77 Lb-Ft compared to the standard 5.3L.)

Final price came out to be $57,900 before any cash allowance. We technically could’ve added more to the price due to accessories but GM’s configurator was an absolute chore to add anything and make it work properly. We recommend GM do something about this bloated configurator. The same experience was had with specing out the GMC Canyon.
