Art of Gears counts down the 50 Worst Car Crash Videos of All-Time.

It’s an unfortunate fact of everyday driving that car crashes happen on a daily basis. Some of them are large while others involve just a single car. Since the advent of television, most car crashes caught on camera were relegated to what we saw on T.V. That usually meant car crashes involved in motorsport were the ones that grabbed our attention and cemented themselves as defining points in motorsports safety.

But today, with the advent of dashcams, there’s a new crop of car crashes caught on camera that are gaining attention. The worst car crash videos caught on dashcam worth mentioning usually involve a very expensive car either showing off, ending in an unfortunate crash or taking their car past the legal speed limit also ending in the car’s demise. Oftentimes the driver will escape unscathed with nothing more than a bruised ego and a wrecked car.

Then there are the dash cam videos showcasing clueless drivers completely ignoring the rules of the road and getting involved in car crashes with no one to blame but themselves.

Car crash videos by themselves are pretty awful on their own. But there are important lessons to be learned and gleaned for posterity’s sake and for safety.

With the rapid progression of car safety and autonomous vehicles already piloting our roads, there may come a time when car crash videos will be a thing of the past. But for now, dashcams will continue to catch these unfortunate incidents and race car drivers will continue to race.

We’ve compiled the 50 worst car crash videos of all time. With a mixture of motorsport and real life, it’s a list that’ll stand the test of time.
