#32- Scary Miata Crash

If there ever was a car crash video that would make you believe in the power of roll cages, this frightening Miata Crash video would be it. Mark Leach, a race car driver, crashed his 2011 Mazda Miata MX-5 during a race in England in one of the most terrifying ways possible.

The race takes places at the Snetterton Motor Racing Circuit in Norfolk, England. Mark is driving the blue #16 Miata. The Orange Mazda Miata #108 corrects his understeer off a curve by braking hard and turning into the inside of the corner. But this is a race and Leach saw an opportunity to pass and charges hard to the inside.

Seeing the inevitable, Leach drives off course, but not before losing traction, clipping the #108 Miata and careening out of control. His Miata drifts to the side and his Miata lists to one corner before catching air and flipping over. With his momentum, his Miata flips over a total of seven times.

Amazingly, Leach walked away from the accident with only a bruised lung, whiplash. and a broken arm. Credit to his survival clearly goes to the strength of his roll cage which took the brunt of the roll and most of the forces.
