#28- Guy Rips Off Wheel On An SLR McLaren And Kept Driving.
Although there’s no crash in this video, the aftermath of the crash speaks for itself. Someone who rented out an SLR McLaren from SuperspeedersRob called him saying that he’d lost a wheel. Turns out, not only did he lose a wheel, but he kept driving on only three wheels for more than 8 blocks including two left turns to his destination.
When Rob arrives upon the scene, the SLR McLaren is blocking another car from exiting his parked spot. Naturally, the renter of the car decides to drive the car out of the way…still only three wheels.
The carnage is bad. Rob goes over how much each part costs to replace. The hood alone costs $75,000 and even the brake rotors cost a whopping $20,000 a piece.
Needless to say, either the insurance company or the renter ended up with quite the repair bill. In the video description it says that all in all, over $300,000 is damage was incurred.
