#16- Bruce Allen And Kenny Koretsky Crash At Texas.
One of the greatest fears any drag racer has is losing control of his car and not only crashing, but crashing into your opponent at full speed. That’s unfortunately what happened with Bruce Allen and Kenny Koretsky when they were both involved in a crash of epic proportions at the 20th O’Reilly Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex Near Dallas. Bruce Allen collided into Kenny Koretsky during a qualifying pass resulting in a crash that turned a once cheering crowd into a silent one in a matter of seconds.
According to Allen and reports from onlookers, he lost control of his Grand Am about halfway down the track causing his car to swerve onto its side. His car veered into Koretsky’s lane making heavy contact with his Dodge Stratus. Allen’s Grand Am exploded into a hundreds of parts as pieces as his engine skidded to a halt hundreds of feet away from the accident.
You’ll be glad to know that both men survived. Allen escaped with a concussion and Koretsky had a bruised heart. Chalk both up to having good safety and a bit of luck.
