#9-EKanoo Racing’s Lexus ISF Twin Turbo Crash

Anyone whose been on the internet in the past couple of years and is into cars has most likely seen one of EKanoo Racing’s insane builds flying down the drag strips of Bahrain at triple digit speeds. Sooner or later a crash was bound to happen and with every run filmed, this one really was quite terrifying to watch first hand. During a run last year in February driver Khalid Mohammed survived a crash that involved his 3,000 HP Lexus ISF flying through the air and literally flipping over a catch fence.

Compared to the Toyota Supra and Toyota 86 they’re used to running, the Lexus ISF is a totally different aerodynamic beasts. While the other two cars are pretty slick straight from the factory, the ISF wasn’t really meant to go drag racing at those speeds by any means. Although EKanoo Racing strapped a rear spoiler out back to aid in rear traction, the front is woefully unaided as far as aerodynamics are concerened.

Youtube is full of videos of drag cars wanting to lift off the line and this video is no exception. With little downforce up front, the Lexus catches some serious air and sends the car flying up and over the catch fence.

You’ll be glad to know that thanks to a roll cage, all the right harnesses, and a helmet, Mohammed remained largely uninjured.
