Toyota: The 12 Models Of 1991, Their Peak Year?

Toyota’s most exciting year of product development may have been the release of their 1991 models.
It’s Thursday, and I am throwing this way back. It’s been 25 years since the 2nd generation Mr2 came out. While fans of the site may be well aware of how much I love my Mr2s, I also think that 1991 was the best product line that Toyota produced.
Motorweek released a short video of the Toyota model line of 1991 for “Throwback Thursday.”
Toyota is synonymous with quality products and a reputation for reliability. On some car enthusiast websites, some of their most recent products may be referred to as, “beige” or very plain.
But, there was definitely a time when Toyota placed itself in IMSA racing and World Rally Championships. All of that occurred late 1980’s and into the early 1990’s as well. Toyota made exciting products as a small reflection of their racing heritage.
But really, how far did they go?
