With its racing heritage and pedigree, Panoz has proven itself as one of the best custom car builders not just in the USA, but in the world. That knowledge and experience has been integrated into the past and current versions of its Esperante and is a testament to Don Panoz’s vision he has had since day one. My trip through the Panoz showroom was proof that the American dream is alive and well. You can by a limited edition Corvette or Shelby Mustang, but there will always be the chance of another car just like yours pulling up next to you. In a Panoz Esperante Spyder GT that will never be the case, every car is an original piece of art. A unique feat of engineering that you can own for a fraction of the cost of a European supercar.

Starting at $159,000 for a well equipped model, all the way up to $240,000 for the most outlandish options, the Esperante is a steal compared to other truly original custom sports cars. When the new Esperante Mark II is unveiled later this year there will be a set of color and interior options that if chosen will allow for delivery time of less than a month for the newest model. The chassis and body panels are already in production and getting ready for assembly once the first orders are placed.

Its hard to fathom, but there is going to be an even more rare 25th anniversary edition of the Esperante that will be available to a select number of customers who order the package. In today’s age of skyrocketing values for classic cars, everyone is trying to guess what will be valuable in twenty-five years. An American made classic with such limited production like the Panoz Esperante seems to fit the bill to me as a great investment. Problem is, with how great this car drives, I do not know how there are going to be any low mileage version available.
