Formula DRIFT Round 6 has us traveling to Monroe, Washington for this week’s event. With only three races remaining in the Pro DRIFT season, look for a “THROWDOWN” of Epic Proportions.

Round 6 of the Formula DRIFT Pro Season has us traveling to one of the oldest tracks on the Formula DRIFT circuit, Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington. Monroe is only about a 45-minute drive North of Seattle, so expect some die-hard Pacific Northwest fans to make their way to this week’s event. Evergreen Speedway is also known for having some of the toughest transition spots on the circuit, so drivers will need to keep it tight if they want to win over the fans and the judges this week.

Last month’s True North event was Formula DRIFT’s first International Pro Championship, and brought some of best drifters from around the world to Montreal, Canada for the first time. In front of a sold-out crowd, these athletes put on quite a show, ending in an exciting, 4-driver matchup for the finals. When the smoke finally cleared, Fredric “The Norwegian Hammer” Aasbo came out on top, with Chris Forsberg and Aurimas Bakchis rounding out the top three. This was Aasbo and the Rockstar Energy Team’s second win this season and they are now only 3 points away from points leader Vaughn Gittin Jr. for the Championship! In fact, the top 4 drivers are all within striking distance of the Championship. The overall point standings have Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his 2016 Monster Energy RTR Mustang leading the competition, followed by Fredric Aasbo and Chris Forsberg in third.
