Formula DRIFT Round 8 Title Fight: Live Stream
By Kelly G.
Formula DRIFT Round 8 “Title Fight” takes place this weekend at Irwindale Speedway. With the Championship still up for grabs, drivers will be fighting hard to claim that top prize.
This is it, Formula DRIFT fans. The final round of the Formula DRIFT Pro season. And what better place to finish the season than at Irwindale Speedway. It has been an exciting 2016 season filled with epic top 16 battles and a variety of different drivers making it on the podium this year.
Chris Forsberg, Fredric Aasbo, and Vaughn Gittin Jr. are still fighting it out for that top spot. With the battle for the Championship being so tight, there is no room for error in the final race of the Formula D Pro season.
Drivers will have to “bring it” this weekend if they want to win over the Irwindale judges and take the overall Championship. Irwindale Speedway is the home track for many of the top drivers, so expect them to go hard this weekend and represent for the fans.

Congratulations to Matt Field for taking home the win at Formula DRIFT Round 7: Showdown. Field took his Falken Tire / Driftcave Motorsports Nissan 240 to his first career victory against a tough Chris Forsberg. With the large crowds that Irwindale brings and the Championship still on the line, we’ll see who comes out on top when the smoke finally clears for the final race of the season.

Who do you think will take the final round at Irwindale? Does Chris Forsberg have enough momentum on his side to remain on top? Or will it be Fredric “The Norwegian Hammer” Aasbo that steals the spotlight? Hit us up on Twitter @ArtofGears and let us know.
But don’t count out Vaughn Gittin Jr. just yet. We have had our eye on Gittin Jr. and his Monster Energy / Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR since the very first race of the season, and he has an excellent chance of taking it all at Irwindale. Did we mention that with this top 3 matchup, it looks like there may be a battle for the top Energy Drink as well?
