3. Giant Used Car Tent Sale

If you have never attended the Giant Used Car Tent Sale at Qualcomm stadium than you really don’t know what you are missing. It is huge, and in my opinion probably one of the easiest ways to get a killer deal on a used vehicle.

Dealerships from all across San Diego Country trailer in their fleet of used vehicles, all looking to get rid of the excess cars they have on the lot. They even have financing agents right in the parking lot if you are brave enough to check our their rates.

But what I enjoy most about the Giant Used Car Tent Sale are the “diamonds in the rough” cars and trucks that are available if you are willing to put in the time to check out the lot.

I have made the quick drive down to Qualcomm many times, not necessarily to purchase a vehicle, but to look at the inventory and dream about what my next project car would be.

I have seen everything from RX-7’s to classic Mustang’s and even H2 Hummers all ready and itching to be sold. And 9 times out of 10, if you bring in cash or a pre-approval check from your bank, those dealers will do just about anything to not have to put that car or truck back on the trailer and bring it back to the dealership.

If you haven’t gone to one of these events, I highly recommend it. You might be surprised at what you find.
