  1. Deckard Saves the Baby

Boy, this is Deckard Shaw at his tough-and-charming Englishman at his best. This is the tea-and-crumpet-eating criminal who we couldn’t get enough of. For a brief moment, we almost forget that this is the same guy who killed Han and almost managed to do the same to Brian, Mia and their baby. Statham owns the entire scene, right from the moment he wing-suits his way into Cipher’s jet like an Iron Man-meets-Rocketeer mashup superhero.

His interactions with the baby are adorable and contributes to one of the most entertaining fight scenes in the series. This is more of an extension of Statham’s character from Spy than the cold-blooded killer from Furious 7. The fight sequence in itself is excellently-choreographed and the humor element has been dialed up to maximum despite the high stakes at hand. From Cipher’s reactions on seeing Deckard onboard, it’s evident as to how much distressed she is to see the older Shaw invading her flying fortress.
