Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65 Edition Celebrates The Vette’s 65th Anniversary
Oh yes! It’s been 65 years since the Corvette rolled out on to the streets for the first time. And Chevrolet has the Carbon 65 Edition package to celebrate the sports car’s 65 years of awesomeness.
The 65th anniversary may not be something which many deem special enough to celebrate. Chevrolet thinks otherwise and that’s why we are getting a special edition package for the 2018 Chevrolet Corvette. They are calling it the Carbon 65. 65 for the anniversary and Carbon for the additional doses of the light-weight material that Chevy has injected the Vette with.
Starting this summer, Chevrolet will be making the Carbon 65 package available at a price tag of $15,000 on the 2018 Grand Sport 3LT and Z06 3LZ models. Coated in a shade of Ceramic Matrix Gray and embellished with the “Carbon 65” moniker on the doors and the sill plates, the Corvette Carbon 65 has new graphics on the front fenders bearing the special edition’s name.
To justify the Carbon in its name, the Corvette Carbon 65 comes with carbon-fiber ground effects kit and a carbon-fiber spoiler. There is more carbon-fiber in the form of the hood insert. Coupe version gets the roof and quarter intake ducts in carbon and the convertible has carbon tonneau inserts. Topless versions will have a blue roof. It matches the graphics, you see. So do the blue-painted brake calipers.

Carbon-fiber steering wheel rim and gloss carbon-fiber interior trim take the theme into the interiors as well. Competition Seats in black with contrast stitching in blue add to special edition treatment’s appearance.
Only 650 cars will be made, decked up with Carbon 65 goodies. Oh… and that’s for worldwide market.

Chevrolet also did a neat job of updating all 2018 models of the Corvette with some new features and tweaks. The Stingray, Grand Sport and Z06 got their share of new feature options to choose from as well as standard features. You can read all about them in Chevrolet’s media site.
