The Cars

The teaser starts off with the Mercedes-AMG GT R. Now this is a tough one to catch as the cut is lightning-fast, as fast as that abrupt flicker which messes with you during your favorite show. Next up is the all-new McLaren 720S barreling down the Eboladrome test track, with a trail of smoke struggling to keep up with the supercar’s insane speed.

The Bugatti Chiron makes its debut on The Grand Tour with the second season. The new Top Gear beat them on that part and Chris Harris did a slick job of reviewing it on the BBC show. But it’ll always be interesting to see Clarkson’s take on it. He is grinning like a boy who just got a new toy. All looks jolly good and fun there.

A green Jaguar XJ struggles for grip on the snow, though we don’t know who is learning to master snow-driving here. Clarkson loves “Jaaaaaags”. Could it be him trying to tame the big cat? The unique hairdo kind of hints that it’s him after all behind the wheel.

A classic Lancia rally car makes a quick cameo in the teaser. In another part of the world, an Audi TTRS and an Ariel Nomad engage in a battle which pits these completely different cars against each other. The trio is known for their love for “unevenly-matched” comparison tests. This could be one of those comparos.
