An Audi TTS piloted by a female driver in her twenties crashed in South Africa. The driver is now left in a critical condition and the car is a total wreck.

Carscoops reports of a horrific crash at Johannesburg, South Africa. An Audi TTS with a young female driver in her twenties lost control, got airborne, crashed into a bunch of signboards, rolled and came to rest against a wall. The accident happened at night and the report adds that the girl’s medical condition is critical.

As the CCTV video below indicates, the car was being driven at high speeds. Now, we aren’t aware of the reasons behind the high-speed driving. What we do know is that the intensity of the crash was more than enough to reduce the Audi TTS sports car to shreds.

There is a walkaround video as well which shows the awful shape of the Audi TTS after the crash. The engine and transmission have been torn apart from the chassis. The rims have cracked, the suspension has collapsed, the chassis is gravely damaged and there is hardly anything left of the car to salvage.

Parts can be seen scattered across the road. Everything would probably suggest that no one managed to survive an accident of this magnitude. Though the airbags deployed, there is only so much that those safety measures can do. And since it still managed to keep the passenger alive, one must applaud Audi for the technology in place to protect the occupants safe in unfortunate events like this one.
