Only a few weeks left before Justice League arrives and Batman will be driving a Mercedes-Benz Vision Gran Turismo when he wants to keep things “subtle”. Yeah, right.

Christopher Nolan’s Bruce Wayne, played by Christian Bale, preferred a Lamborghini when he wasn’t wearing the Batman cowl. In the middle of the day, that was “much more subtle” compared to a weaponized black tank – the Tumbler Batmobile. In Justice League, the new DCEU Bruce Wayne played by Ben Affleck, opts for a futuristic Mercedes-Benz when he doesn’t wish to draw much attention to his daytime identity as Gotham’s billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. But how he manages to go unnoticed is still a mystery, as the car in question is a silver Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo.

The Justice League movie will be in theaters two weeks after Thor: Ragnarok, and I absolutely love the new bunch of trailers that they are releasing now. The theme is optimistic, the frames are colorful and there is a smile on every lead character’s face, much like the big grins that pop up on everyone watching the clips. It’s great to see the Zack Snyder-Joss Whedon directorial giving all the right signals of being an out-and-out entertainer.

Having made it evident as to how much I’m looking forward to this November release, let’s move on to the topic – Batman’s other car. The earlier promos had showed Bruce Wayne and Barry Allen seated in one of Mr. Wayne’s rides, when Batsy enlightens the Flash on former’s superpower being money. Well, it’s a lot more than just money, as a huge bank balance doesn’t necessarily endow you with the kind of skill set that Batman possesses. Anyway, until recently, we never got a clear glimpse of Mr. Wayne’s daily driver. Correction. “Mr. Wayne’s daily daytime driver” sounds more accurate.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo has to be coolest civilian car that Batman has ever driven on the big screen.

The new tie-in promos released by Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the Bruce Wayne drives a Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo, when he doesn’t have superhumans and supervillains to track. The car was originally conceived for the Gran Turismo 6 video game a few years ago and the concept form was showcased to the world as well at the opening of the new Mercedes-Benz Research & Development Center in Sunnyvale, California.

More from Movie Cars

The one that you will see in Justice League was built specially for the upcoming superhero blockbuster. Mercedes-Benz teams worked closely with the cast and crew of the DCEU flick to ensure that the finished movie car met all the film production requirements. A detailed interior was developed with with illuminated elements, racing seats and a virtual dashboard. They even took the pain to modify the car’s design to accommodate Ben Affleck’s large frame, as the original dimensions proved to be quite cramped for big Ben to fit into. The car was scaled up to 110% of its real size so that the tall and bulked-up Affleck can sit comfortably and convince Barry Allen to join the Justice League.
