2018 Hyundai Kona

Hyundai’s 2018 Kona is a completely new model for the brand, so for it show up on WardsAuto’s list of 10 Best Interiors right off the bat is an impressive feat. WardsAuto notes that the vehicles in the compact CUV segment are extremely popular right now. Despite their popularity, from an interior color standpoint, there is little variation from black. The Kona is different. WardsAuto editors liked the fact that Hyundai designers used neon green to trim much of the interior. The green stretches from the air vents, start button, shifter bezel, piping on the seats, and stitching on the steering wheel and seats.

The color wasn’t the only thing about the Kona’s interior that WardsAuto editors liked. They also pointed to the high-definition head-up display, the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and high-quality buttons and knobs on the dash.

With the Kona’s win, Hyundai has now won five WardsAuto 10 Best Interior awards. The Kona ushers in new exterior styling for the brand. The model is completely new, and its new stylistic touches will show up on other models in its lineup, according to Auto Guide.

One of the Kona’s exterior features that will be easily noticeable on other Hyundai models is the headlight configuration. The running lights sit above the headlamps. Hyundai showed off the next generation Santa Fe with this feature.
