Number 10: Lexus GS 350

The Lexus GS 350 might not be your go-to if you had to guess the 10th most-expensive car to buy car insurance for, but it is, according to the data. The GS 350 is a large luxury sedan that pairs a luxurious interior with sporty driving dynamics and an attractive exterior. It’s annual average insurance paid and annual collision insurance paid numbers are quite high.

You can get the F Sport package added if you want to up the model’s sportiness further. Underneath the hood of the sedan is a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 that puts out a strong 311 hp. The car was called “the Ultimate Driving Machine” by Motor Trend when Lexus first debuted the vehicle back in 2012.

Now the car is aging quickly and there are many other large luxury sedans that would put it to the GS. Aside from its dated design, the fact that it’s one of the most expensive cars to insure means a lot of car buyers will probably look elsewhere. There have even been rumors of Lexus killing off the GS but no official announcement at this time.

  • Annual Average Insurance Paid: $1,295.44
  • Annual Collision Insurance Paid: $705.90
  • Type of Car: Large luxury sedan
  • Retail Price: $46,310
