Number 8: Audi A7

Another large luxury sedan makes the list in the number eight spot. This time, it’s Audi with it’s A7. The A7 manages to beat out the BMW M4 and the Lexus GS 350 when it comes to annual average insurance paid and the annual collision insurance paid. This one doesn’t surprise us too much, because the A7 is a pretty darn expensive car. The model’s base price is a few hundred dollars from being $70,000.

All the money that the A7 costs is put to good use though. The 3.0-liter supercharged six-cylinder engine makes an impressive 340 hp. That power is routed through all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Audi has a new A7 for the 2019 model year, and with the significant upgrades that the model will receive, including things like semi-autonomous driving features and an upgraded infotainment system as well as a new platform that underpins the vehicle, it would see that insurance premiums for this model will only continue to climb. Below are the numbers suggested by the IIHS.

  • Annual Average Insurance Paid: $1,322.51
  • Annual Collision Insurance Paid: $830.70
  • Type: Large luxury sedan
  • Retail Price: $69,700
