Art of Gears World Racing – What Went Down as Sebastian Vettel gets Penalised
Controversy set out in the F1 this weekend in Canada after Sebastian Vettel got stripped of five seconds and lost top spot to rival Lewis Hamilton.
Was Sebastian robbed? Some think so and others think not. The FIA has not backed down, insist recent reports as they confirm the Ferrari driver’s second move on the bend aided in the decision made.
The German was not pleased and expressed his unhappiness post-race, rather than voicing his concerns. He still feels he was wronged by the governing body.
Podium standings
- 1st. Lewis Hamilton – Mercedes (1:29:07.084)
- 2nd. Sebastian Vettel – Ferrari (+3.658s)
- 3rd. Charles Leclerc – Ferrari (+3.658s)
Regardless of events transpiring on the track, the Englishman in the Mercedes took the top honours even though Vettel took the chequered flag on the day. He too felt unjust in the podium presentation, hoping the boos spreading through the audio was not meant for him.
Besides the one Ferrari driver taking the spotlight for dubious reasons, his partner Charles Leclerc drove an excellent race, taking the final podium position in third place.
