NASCAR had the biggest disappointment of the weekend after being postponed by heavy rainfall but hopes Monday will treat them better in the Monster Energy Cup Series.

NASCAR rained out on Sunday with hopes to continue Monday afternoon. After an hour delay, the rain persisted to fall, leaving the race officials no choice but to it call it.

"Track-drying briefly resumed, but inclement weather continued to halt the process. The track was almost dry by 4:15 p.m. when another rain cell struck. NASCAR officials made the decision at 4:30 p.m. ET to postpone Sunday’s scheduled at-track activity. (via. NASCAR.com)"

The W Series continuous to impress all the way after another twist is taken in the first of its kind W Series. Alice Powell thinks it’s all over after a first lap crash. Thankfully for both drivers involved the racing-stewards were able to label it a racing incident only.

We’ve now reached the halfway mark of the W Series and it appears this one crash could be detrimental to Alice Powell’s title push.

"I chose to go round the outside and Fabienne was getting squeezed ever so slightly by Beitske – understandable – and my front wheel made contact with her rear wheel and that sent me instantly up in the air. I was a passenger from then on and I didn’t go over luckily, but it’s a big dent to the championship."

"I think realistically if you look at the front two and how they’re going and how consistent they are, it’s going to be very tough to win the championship and to finish second is going to be very difficult. I’m only a few points behind Marta and I’ve dropped to fourth but third is still open. (via. motorsports.com)"
