There is nothing that I could write that conveys how cool Burt Reynolds was. I consider myself a pretty good wordman but I am ill equipped to handle it, so I will focus on Burt the car movie icon. Reynolds’ acting career started in the late 50s on various TV shows and after a decade plus of TV and some minor movie roles he broke through with “Deliverance” in 1972.

His first foray into car movies came shortly afterwards and he made a great career from being the cool wheelman that gets the girl and he always did it with a great laugh and smile. Here is sample of the car movies starring Burt Reynolds:
