White Lightning (1973) & Gator (1976)

After making a name for himself with “Deliverance” Reynolds starred as Gator McKlusky in “White Lightning”. It’s a car chase movie with Reynolds undercover for the feds and ends up behind the wheel running moonshine. Diane Ladd and Ned Beatty also starred.

Reynolds directed the sequel, “Gator”, that featured Jerry Reed. Once again Gator saves the day and also cleans up local government.
