CART (1999-2000)

Montoya’s career in the U.S. was due to a drivers swap between Williams F1 and Chip Ganassi Racing. Alessandro Zanardi headed to Williams and Montoya got some seasoning in CART. Montoya won the series championship in his first season and in two-seasons he won 10 of the 40-races he entered.
