AMC Rebel (1967-1970)

Short lived and still revered in Muscle Car circles, the Rebel flew below the radar in a world with Dodge Chargers, Chevelles, and Ford Torinos but the Rebel could hang with the best.

The 1970 AMC Rebel Machine featured a factory-rated 340hp 390ci V8 engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission that propelled it from 0-60 mph in 6.3-seconds and could run a 1/4-mile in 14.8-seconds.

For proper context the 1970 SS 396 Chevelle ran the 1/4-mile in 14.6-seconds and 0-60 mph was in six-seconds.

The Rebel was short lived and was a legit muscle car for AMC.
