Janet Guthrie (1976-1980)

A pioneer for women in American motor sports and the first woman to qualify for the Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500. Guthrie drove in 33 NASCAR Cup Series races, a record at the time that was surpassed by Danica Patrick, and garnered five Top-10 finishes in her career.

Her career best finish was sixth at Bristol (1977) which was the best result by a female driver in the Cup Series until 2014 when Patrick tied her mark.
