2013: Jules Bianchi & Max Chilton Join Marussia F1

The future was beginning to look brighter for Marussia F1 with the additions of Bianchi and Chilton behind the wheel of the MR02. Bianchi was from the Ferrari Driving Academy and Chilton was Marussia’s former test driver and backup.

Unlike 2012 their car was ready for was ready for winter testing and the MR02 ended up being more reliable than its predecessor.

The team moved up in the standings and finished 10th, out of 11, in the Constructors’ Championship ahead of Caterham. Neither team scored a point but Marussia finished ahead of Caterham based on their better record of race finishes.
