2015: The End of Marussia F1

After Bianchi’s tragic accident Marussia F1 fell apart and did not participate in the final three races of the 2014 season. Team owner Andrei Cheglakov did not want to continue afterwards and the money went dry.

Marussia F1 went into administration at the end of 2014, many assets were liquidated and the 2015 season did not seem like a possibility. However the team was pulled out of administration by John Booth & Graeme Lowdon and were rechristened Manor Marussia.

The last season of Marussia F1 was abysmal. They finished last in the Constructors’ Championship and their best race result was 12th and went out with a whimper.

In 2016 they were known as Manor Racing and just like that Marussia F1 was gone.
