F1 Heads To Miami and Some Previous U.S. F1 Tracks

Indianapolis 2000-2007

After a nine-year hiatus the United States Grand Prix returned and this time it was held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They used a ‘roval’ setup with in the infield road course and a mile of oval for a total of 2.6-miles.

Michael Schumacher dominated the track with five victories, including four in a row. After Indianapolis there wasn’t a USGP until it moved to its current home at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas in 2012.
