Diana, Princess of Wales: 1994 Mercedes-Benz W140
Tragically we lost Diana, Princess of Wales on August 31, 1991 from injuries sustained in motor vehicle in Paris, France. The Mercedes-Benz W140 was being pursued by the paparazzi when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a pillar at 65 mph.
After a vast investigation and a follow up inquest by the Metropolitan Police in London in 2005, the Mercedes was returned to France in 2009 and is in the custody of the French government.
To date, the car is rumored to be in a shipping container at police compound yard in Bonneuil-sur-Marne.
