Jayne Mansfield: 1966 Buick Electra 225
A proper blonde bombshell, Mansfield often played second fiddle to Marilyn Monroe but she is still an icon. The actress, singer and Playboy Playmate lost her life at the age of 34 from injuries sustained in a June 29, 1967 motor vehicle accident.
Mansfield was riding in the front seat of a 1966 Buick Electra that crashed into the back of a tractor trailer.
The destroyed Buick was rescued by a collector and used as a roadside attraction in Florida for many years. Since then it has switched hands numerous times and is currently owned by Scott Michaels, the owner & operator of the “Dearly Departed Tours and Musuem” in Southern California.
