The 2017 science fiction movie, “Ghost In The Shell” stars Scarlett Johansson and is the the live action version of the beloved classic anime flick. I dug the movie but that love is twofold:

I am a hella’ devout Johansson fan. It started with “Lost In Translation” and continues to today.

  • When I got divorced, we sold our home. After it sold, I dropped off the keys at my former home for the realtor and I made a beeline to Silver Cinemas to watch it. Me and three other people were in the theater that afternoon and it was awesome. Despite the dour cinema environment and dystopian movie I was a happy dude.
  • The movie is set in the future, not sure how far but let’s say it’s near

    “Blade Runner 2049”

when you consider that the technology in the movie (robots, cyborg technology on people) and overall bleak vibe.

Overall the movie was not a big hit, it took in $169 million worldwide versus its $110 million budget and faced major criticism for whitewashing.

It wasn’t the greatest movie ever made but it was entertaining and had a pretty respectable collections of cars featured in it. They were recognizable but due to the setting of the movie they had some modifications.
